thchrome hearts leather braceletomas sabo bird charm,Ive had lots of inquiries for this info and Pandora has just put out their spring cleaning retirement list! These charms are now discontinued and stores are going to be sending them back shortly. If you have any of them on your wish list, you should get them quick or wait for them to possibly go on sale. Im sad to see these go, but definitely hoping some of the gold beads will show up on Rue La La or the outlets soon.
Its disappointing to see so many of the older designs leaving the collection, especially the silver charms as everything is being replaced by CZ accented beads. The rose gold dangles must not have sold well, as they were quite pricey. This round we see a number of Essence beads retired, mainly the zodiac ones which I assume were not very popular either.
Weve got less and less of the original designs that made me first ll in love with Pandora. Looking on the brighter side though, Ive been eyeing the gold crown for many years now and maybe now I can finally get it on sale. How do you feel about this retirement?
I dont like cz &tirement list. The last three list Pandora has released have included charms that I have not been able to find at any stores in my area at least in well over a year. If these charms for example are only being retired and sent back now why have the majority of them been unavailable, even to order for so long now. I work at a Pandora store and we have customers come in looking for many of the retired charms but we never had them to begin with.We put an order in to Pandora for more of the silver snowman charm and others way back in August of last year in anticipation of the holidays. We received two (literally two) of them in November and didnt receive the majority of the other older charms we have been trying to reorder. In my stores case we are overrun with the new style charms (cz covered, button, synthetic)but we have been sold out of dozens of older style charms both retired and not for ages and have tried to reorder from Pandora but get told they dont have any to send us. I think that these list are bogus and Pandora has stopped manucturing the majority of the older charms long ago and your lucky if a store has any left especially if you live in a major city or you find any of these elsewhere. Its so disappointing to have to tell customers we dont have the charms they want and for no good reason at all. Maybe this is just a problem in the US? I travel all around the country and have encountered the same situation almost everywhere. Any input would be appreciated.
Hi Bethany,
I also work at a Pandora store and have for the last two years.
What Pandora usually does is they send out a no longer available to order list of all the jewelry pieces that they are no longer producing. This list PRECEDES the official retirement list. Sometimes it takes a long time for these charms to actually retire which, I can only assume, must be because they are still available in other parts of the country/world and may be cycling out of their stores at different times.
Perhaps this is different franchise to franchise, but my store manager has always had a list from our inventory specialist that she prints out that is updated every few months before a retirement to give stores a heads up on what they should expect to be out of.
If it is in ct true that they are just slowly cycling them out in other parts of the country or world that is probably the reason they only do a retirement every six months so that they can give stores time to run out of these items and make room for others before a new launch.
Also keep in mind depending on what charms you are looking for, the demand there is for them, if they are on back order, and what type/size of a store you have, you may only qualify for a small amount of the charms you order. Higher volume stores receive more product based on their needs as a business.
I think they probably stop manucturing certain items anywhere from 6 months to a year before certain retirements. And keep in mind retirements happen bi-annually.
If you want more info I would suggest asking your store manager or territory manager from the company about this if you are very curious. They may have better answers and more information. Nothing to get so upset about though!
I hope this helped to clarify at least a little. Remember that the official retirement list only gets sent out bi-annually. So any list you see before that is a heads up type thing.
The store manager at my local store just told me pretty much what Bette said. She has been out of stock on certain charms for some time, and when she tried to reorder, Pandora told her that they would not replenish because the charms are being retired.
Wow . . . thanks for posting this! I had no idea Holy Family and Snowman were about to retire, and theyve been on the to-buy list for my winter bracelet for the longest time. In ct, I was just looking at Holy Family over Christmas at my local Pandora store and no one said anything about it leaving. Just bought them both online!
Pandora is on sale on HauteLook now. Its basically the same stuff that was on RueLaLa a few weeks ago.
Hi Leann! Im so sorry to see more classic charms on the retirement list, but thankfully, I have recently purchased quite a few of these! I have added the Song Bird, Snowflake with Aqua stones, Snowman, and Blue Fascinating dangle to my collection! I would still like to get the Christmas Stocking and the Holy Family for my Christmas bracelet which is still a work in progress, but will (hopefully) be completed for next Christmas! Lol! 😀
There are many Pandora Outlet in North America, you just need to google their address. I go to Tanger Outlet Mall at Cookstown in Toronto Canada. Pandora Outlet carry both regular and discounted retired items, Outlet store has their own promotion plus regular promotion as well.
Las Vegas Outlet has exclusive Las Vegas charm, I was there last Xmas but didnt get anything. I got 2 Dice with cz in Venetian Hotel.
This is always the blog post that sends me into a panic! I just had to have the Ring Cluster, which was on my wish list for my wedding anniversary this year. My local store is out of stock, but they referred me to a store in Florida that has it, and they are shipping it to me. Whew! It was a must-have for me. Im sorry to see so many classics go by the wayside. I dont mind CZs to a certain extent, but I think Pandora is overdoing it big time. I dont usually care for many charms in the new collections anymore.
What about rings, earrings etc that will be retiring? Do you have any info on which ones those will be?
Where can I get retired charm? I just ordered some charms from ebay. And its definately FAKE( of course , seller denies it) . I really want to get those rosegold dangling charms!!!
Hi Lauren! Its best to stick with sites like Perlen or Rue La La. Rue has frequent sales that include Pandoras retired charms at a significant discount. Perlen offers a more modest discount, but sells the newer charms. There is a great deal of counterfeit Pandora being sold on line. I also ended up with some ke charms several years ago after ordering on line. I will say, that the charms were VERY similar to Pandora (including the markings). But, when I looked closer, there were indeed subtle differences. Its just awful that they still continue to get away with this. However, there are real Pandora charms being sold on e-bay, so this is most unfortunate for the honorable sellers. I would definitely report this. I have heard that the seller will have to return your money. Good luck!
